Finished. Not sure how I feel about the finished product honestly. I wanted pink but somehow it was too much? If I ever were to experiment with something like this again in the future, I feel like a periwinkle or blue may be better - especially if I want to go gung-ho glitter. I like the interaction between glossy and matte, as well as the appearance of the background because of the zips. I attempted to do layer a little with drips towards the bottom which turned out quite funky. I'm just a little bummed with the all-over composition! I think I need to really try to think slightly more before painting. Detail Shots:

"I think I need to really try to think slightly more before painting." You said it, not me... well, yes, I say it all the time - but I also know the power of intuitive work so it's a hard call. You tend to be intuitive, which is not a bad thing to be but here you have an example of how planning can be helpful. Take that forward with you. Nice final photo! Please add your practice paintings, to bring the whole project together and to reflect on how they did/did not influence your final work.

I really like the detail and quality of your photos, especially your close ups that really highlight the texture of your work. I like how you made suggestions for future paintings, but I disagrees with your assertion that the pink is too overwhelming. The vibrant color makes your painting stand out. I really like the glitter and the contrasting sheens. Overall love your painting. Good job on your post.

I like the pink and the composition is not quite all-over.... that being said, taking the opportunity to experiment with other colors and compositions is never a bad thing! If you are not a planner, then just DOING becomes the planning, if that make sense. The series of PROCESS posts that you have here are well presented and offer good insight into your work process. Well done.
