Weebly is working weirdly and the images aren't popping up on the gallery view, I believe if you click the actual image will show up. 

Been arting a bit. I was feeling rather emotional and the other day just put together six sheets of paper and made this lady. She's about as tall as my door! Also I tried a landscape today for the first time in forever... rather surprised at how well it turned out. Used a sponge for texture. It's been forever since I've used a reference photo, and while I loosely used one for this piece (much adapted) I might in the future practice in the style I painted my landscape and work on a tighter painting style (tighter for Maya haha).

Hi all. I've been making art. It's just taken me a while to post. I was painting with my sister the other day after having found my glitter collection and tried to take a stab. I tried to experiment with underpainting off of the top of my head and don't believe I did it correctly. I'm feeling switching to some painting now that I have time at home. I want to look up how underpainting works and go from there. I might do another portrait and continue experimenting. 

Tried to do a gesture that registers more. I want it to pop a little more so I am not sure if it's quite finished. Might come back to it after a bit. 

Another piece: I'm not sure how much it registers but I really like it. It's a figure hunched over sitting. I'm loving the colored paper.... looking forward to experimenting more. 

Newest piece. For some reason the pose came out quite similar. I think I will continue to explore this process, however, I want to branch out with colored paper and will start working with other poses. 

Day 2: I tried to work the space more and reworked where the hands were placed/hugging themselves on the body. I like the general feel/mark usage on this more, however, I still feel challenged by incorporating those spacial cross-contour lines but still accomplishing a distinct pos-negative space balance. Will probably move onto another pose, but I am struggling!

Day 1: I wanted to try out the last pose I painted again. Did this drawing today in class. I like the energy of it, however, I really want to try to experiment more with positive and negative space. I think I will try out this pose one more time.

Attempted to do the back of a person and ACK what is even happening. TBH this is definitely not my favorite piece. I put on the glitter and it really covered up some of the nice subtleties that I liked. Trying to go back in and add more definition but we'll see this is very much a mess.
